Chartered Manager (CMgr)

Becoming a Chartered Manager is a natural step on from completing your studies with CMI. Fundamentally, the process is about reflecting on the value that you bring to the profession of management. The CMI Code of Ethics, Conduct and Professional Practice for professional managers are the main reference point for your reflection and development. They exist to drive your  responsible practice and enable managers and leaders to role model excellence for others.

There are several routes to becoming a Chartered Manager. If you hold a CMI Level 5 Diploma or above, you can follow the fast-track route. If you have non-CMI management qualifications or many years of professional experience you can follow the full assessment route.

As with any profession, Chartered status demonstrates a high level of competence to employers, clients and so on. Employers recognise Chartered Manager as a high standard of achievement. It is useful for setting yourself apart from the competition when applying for jobs.
