Professional Development for Management Consultants is CMI Unit 724. Study this course as part of the CMI Level 7 Award, Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma in Professional Consulting. These unique professional management consulting qualifications have been developed in conjunction with the Institute of Consulting. They are mapped to the Chartered Management Consultant Competency Framework.
This unit is required to achieve Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) status.
About this course
In a globalised, high-tech, fast paced and unpredictable world, professional consultants must prioritise personal and professional development. This will enable them to keep pace with developments in strategic and operational practice and equip them to respond effectively to organisational and societal change.
The aim of this unit is to enable learners to reflect on their own capabilities and behaviours to consult professionally. By reflecting on their own performance, consultants will develop a meaningful personal and professional development plan. The focus of the plan will be to identify opportunities to enhance their knowledge and capability to consult with impact.
