Why take this course?

First line management roles are both challenging and rewarding. Often these roles come with significant levels of operational management and people management responsibility.

Team Leader Academy is our flagship Team Leader development programme. Typically studied over a period of 6 to 12 months, it delivers all of the fundamental skills and knowledge required to be effective in a first line management role.

Giving people in these roles all of the skills they need to succeed has a positive impact on staff retention and satisfaction at work. It also positively impacts on customer’s experience.

This course is for team leaders, supervisors, second in command, responsible colleague and similar roles. It is suitable whether you are new, experienced or returning to a firstline management position.

IN-COMPANY TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Our development programmes are suitable for in-company training. They are designed for learners to complete a programme of study together as a cohort, over a longer period of time. The content of the programme is carefully designed to align with the needs of your business.

GROUP TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Our development programmes are also suitable for groups from different businesses or branches who wish to study similar content together.

For example, we have groups of Reception Managers and Practice Managers from different General Practices across a region. This offers a practical, fun and affordable way for people to develop their skills.

Another example is franchisors offering or mandating a tailored programme to their franchisees.

What you'll learn?

Typically businesses choose between four and ten modules or subjects. These can be delivered face-to-face or remotely as learning bursts, half-day or full day sessions with self-assessments and challenges to be completed before and after each learning session. Incorporating one or two CMI written assignments (e.g., a CMI Level 3 Certificate) and a collaborative real-world work-based project also help to deepen the learning and skills development.

Qualifications

CMI qualifications are optional, yet commonly built into our development programmes. They are either a requirement for all learners, offered as an opt-in option for each individual to choose (or not). Programmes can also be differentiated by level, with some people studying at level 3 and other at level 5. The programme and learning remains the same, the written assignments differ by level.
